Physical propertiesAntioxidant 2246 is a white or off-white crystalline powder with a melting point of 120–130°C and a density of 1.04–1.09. It is soluble in organic solvents such as ethanol, acetone, benzene, and petroleum ether, but insoluble in water. It has a slight phenolic odor. This product is non-toxic and exhibits good storage stability. When stored for extended periods, it may develop a slight reddish tint, but this does not affect its antioxidant and anti-aging performance when used in oils, rubber, and plastics.

Technical requirements:

Use:A general-purpose phenolic antioxidant widely used as an antioxygen in natural rubber, synthetic rubber, latex, various other synthetic materials, and petroleum products; the typical dosage ranges from 0.1% to 1.5%. This product is a highly versatile phenolic antioxidant suitable for a wide range of plastics, including ABS, AS, and natural rubber. Antioxidant 2246 boasts high thermal stability, excellent antioxidant performance, non-contamination, no discoloration, no blooming, good oil solubility, low volatility and minimal loss, and has no adverse effects on rubber vulcanization or plasticity. It also exhibits no impact on latex stability and requires only small dosages.
